Like the rest of the manor, these chambers are very extravagant in decoration with tapestries upon every wall and finely carved furniture with gold leaf upon the most expensive of pieces. There are public chambers where the Duke and Duchess receive petitioners and courtiers alike while the more private of chambers are open only to those closest to them.

The Duchess's Chambers:

Past the guards outside and into the receiving chamber - here the Duchess, when there is one, receives commoners and nobles alike that might seek a favor from her person.

Through another set of doors there is a more intimate receiving chamber where only those courtiers of the Pemberton court can gather to take part in merriment, gossip, or some other past time.

Through the other doors are the duchess's more personal chambers, including her study, privy, and bedchamber. Only her most close courtiers and advisors are allowed here.

The Duke's Chambers:

Two loyal guards typically stand in attendance to the duke’s receiving room. There he hears from both courtiers and commoners seeking a favor or pardon. He is available for several hours each day and deals a fair hand to those who come.

To the right are double doors leading into the large meeting room the duke reserves for parliament gatherings. This is a private room, open only to parliament members or those guests personally selected to overhear the topics at hand.

To the left are the doors leading into his personal chamber rooms, a bedroom with privy as well as a den stocked with books of all subjects. Only his closest, most trusted friends may freely use this valuable resource. There is a third guard outside these doors as well as a manservant.
