Name: Clarisse Fleuriot
Age: Seventeen
Gender: Female
Class: Courtier
Physical Description::
In the early rays of sunlight a stray lock of light blonde wavy hair hits the bright light projected from the open window, making it sparkle like a rare gem unearthed. Cloudy, yet somewhat clear blue eyes are uncovered from underneath slender eyelashes, thin eyebrows. Plus with tan skin, and shimmering semi-dark lips, gives off the perfect look of innocence. If you see this, you know you are looking at Clarisse Fleuriot.
But don't let her looks fool you, underneath those slim long eyelashes, is a girl who isn't afraid to show the world what she is made of.
Normally Clarisse wears a simple yet refined Wisteria colored dress, that outlines her curves, since it does not require a hoop skirt. The dress is made of velvet, and goes to her elbows, before slippiting into a v like cut, which she keeps limply at her side. Of corse she wears a bodice and corset underneath, along with undergarments. Besides that, she has a simple yet elegently refined hood, nicely embroidered slippers, a beautiful relic fan, passed down from her great-grandmère, and a simple pair of pearl white gloves. Quite often, a song bird will be perched on her shoulder, named Estienne, whom she will reluctently part with, when times of looking respectable come about. Another thing to notice, is that Clarisse wears a simple gold chain, as to why she does, will be explained later on.
Native Duchy: Ashton (Although she was born in the Amethyst realm{France}, but more about that later)
History:
At the early dawn, a dim ray of light shone on a beautiful new baby, with a single lock of light blonde hair. For it was at that moment that Clarisse was born. It is said her Mère (Mother) could hear the sounds of doves singing their song of passionate love for one another ringing in her ears. And her Père (Father) couldn't agree more.
Clarisse grew up on a nice patch of farmland, where she bonded with her servants, but especially her now current maid Symmone. Her Mère and Père were a well-known and respected Lady and Lord. As the years went by, Clarisse even had a childhood crush, that she still has nagging in the back of her mind on a poor blacksmith's son named Beu.
One of the many problems that troubled her parents was the fact that Clarisse hung out with more boys than girls as a child, and liked to rough house with them. The poor boys that is, and in secret too. Rich snobby boys would not stand to do such things, and most certainly not with a girl. But the poor children loved Clarisse, who snuck them coins and bread, this was during age eight, and when she first met Beu.
Beu had chestnut wavy hair, solem amber eyes, and a smile that could make even the Princess' ladies in waiting faint. And best of all, he loved Clarisse back. Normally his skin and hands were tan and ruff from all the labor and welding he did. At age thirteen, Beu even made her the gold chain, which she treasured always. Beu wore a dirty shirt underneath a stained tunic. His pants were ripped and reached over his ankles. The boys in the village didn't wear shoes as much unless it was Sundays and they had to go to mass.
As she reached fifteen, she knew her duty to her family to marry into a wealthy lord or higher up status family. Clarisse cried for weeks on end, torn between duty, and her heart's desire. Eventually duty won, but she and Beu remained good friends, and deep down inside, they were still lovers, forced to be seperated by their ranks.
However, her life was ruined at her seventeenth birthday party, when the landlord burst in, demanding pay for the last couple of month's rent. Apparently, a famon had bygone the farm, and the now comfortably wealth family, was struck into poverty. Barely being able to support themselves, her Mère and Père sent her, her younger twelve year old brother, Renier Fleuriot, and her younger sister, Émilie, to live with her Mère's sister, or known to her as Aunt Emma and Uncle Ambrose Clavell. Her Mère's family lived in the Sapphire Realm, following the duchy of Ashton, where Clarisse and her siblings would stay until her parents could properly support them. Since her Mère was originally born in England, she had to move to the Amethyst Realm in order to marry her loved one, which had gone wonderfully untill now.
Having no one really to turn to except for her companion and maid Symmone, Clarisse went to the only two things she could depend on always to keep her secrets and troubles safe: her diary, and her singing. Every night she would sing to moon, on the balcony outside her home in France, until it was time to head off to the Sapphire Realm.
Lady Emma, and Lord Ambrose Clavell are respected members in Ashton, and it was a hard choice for them to make taking on Clarisse, Renier, and Émilie since it money was something they were not used to sharing. But since they are Clarisse's only family (her Père is an only child), it was either them, or starve to death, and Lady Emma and Lord Ambrose Clavell certainly did not want that.
When they arrived, Clarisse was given her songbird Estienne as a welcoming preasent. She is in charge of her family for now, but she loves them dearly, and is pleased. Even though she is of age, she lives with her Aunt and Uncle anyway, and with supervision from Symmone, wanders around the streets happily. One day, she knows, all will be well for her and her family. . . . . .or may be not. . . . . .
Parents:
Lord (Monsier) Jehan Fleuriot (48)
Lady (Mademoiselle) Jessamine Merton Fleuriot (42)
Siblings:
Lord Renier Fleuriot (12)
Lady Émilie Fleuriot (6)
Personality:
Clarisse has a fiery personality and is trying to learn to hold her tongue. This is why so many courtiers have turned away from her distressed, which is only one of her many flaws. However, she does have a knack for being a talented writer, and singer, but her favorite hobby is listening in on to other's conversation's, much to her maid's scolding. Spying brings her adrennilene, and fills her heart with a scared enthusiasm. Other than that she is a horrible embroidery, and cannot sew a thing for her life. But, she is a sweet upbeat person who most want to be around---if they can get over her boldness.
Items:
- Her jade colored embroidery kit---dusty from lack of use.
- Two sets of clothing: Her wisteria velvet dress (mentioned above in physical description), and a orchid silk dress, that requires a hoop skirt, which she detests. Besides those two regular wears, Clarisse has her pearl white silk gloves, a bodice and corset, undergarments, a simple yet elegently refined hood, nicely embroidered slippers, and a beautiful relic fan, passed down from her great-grandmère.
- One nightdress; silk, light, and lavender with simple embroidery
- One light gold chain–given to her by Beu; whenever Clarisse is scared or worried she rubs it invouluntarily.
- One personal item: Her diary, being good with words, she writes how she feels or when she's scared, and even stories that just come out of her head. It is normal size, and bound with purple satin, and a tarnished gold lock and key, from so much use.
- A book of parchment, ink, and quill, with a little bit of sealing wax
- Hygienic effects: hair brush, pins (to hold the hair in place), a little bit of scent (perfume), etc. You can just assume that you have anything you need to stay clean and well-groomed.
-Clarisse has a voice that has lured many a man into false security. Yet she uses it not to hurt people, but to sing about her life. Sometimes when you sing, all your troubles go away, her Mère would tell Clarisse, and she believed in it full heartedly. On the downside, she cannot embroider for her life, but hey, that's what Symmone is for somewhat.
- Sadly, Clarisse is very clumsy, and really lacks ability, though I suppose you could say she has a quite above average skill at writing, one unlike you would expect. She considerers her impressive writing skills her gift, although she does somewhat envy her brother's secret painting skill, and her sister's unique coordination skills.
- Her maid Symmone, whom she keeps many things from since Symmone bores her
- Her pet Etienne, given to her as a welcoming gift from her Aunt and Uncle Clavell.
Roleplay Sample:
McKenzie walked home to her son Liam, sitting on porch of their apartment. He had dark chocolate brown hair, hazel eyes, and a stiff expression on her somber olivish tan face. He didn't look up at her. Sighing McKenzie sat down next to him, her white cropped shirt, and black sleek pants, next to his dirty Miami Heat shirt, and khaki shorts. "What's wrong?" she asked quietly looking at Liam concerned.
Instead of responding, he shifted away from her. McKenzie frowned. Normally Liam was excited to have her home. May be he was having "Tom" issues again. She shuddered, the last thing she wanted to console Liam about was her mistake of an ex husband. "I brought you home some chocolate." she said pulling out a plastic hershey's chocolate container she had picked up at the super market. Liam didn't even blink.
She scooted over closer to him. Finally Liam muttered, "I got a letter from Dad today." The worried look on her face froze into an expression of sheer loathing, before she was able to control it again into a passive uninterested expression. "He invited me down to stay with him for the thanksgiving holidays." he looked up at her hopefully.
"No." McKenzie said coldly. She couldn't help it. Liam should never ever have to spend time with that looser again. He'd already suffered enough when he was a baby. Lord knows, last thing he needed was Tom Hanson, in his wonderful amazing life. Liam shot her a look of pure hatred. "Sweetheart," she tried again more kindly, "it just isn't possible. You need to focus on your grades, and besides, Tom isn't really offering. He's just saying that to be polite. He. . .is to busy, and I can't afford to send you to the US right now. Besides, we need to get settled in here in Berkshire." McKenzie felt a little pang of guilt as she lied to him. She had more than enough money to send Liam there for a bit from her odds and ends jobs back in Baton Rouge.
Liam suddenly turned to her in a face more revulsed in hate than she'd ever seen in him. "Listen Mom, I'm not a little kid anymore. Just because you and Dad have problems, doesn't mean I should suffer too. You're just being selfish and heartless!" and with that he walked inside and slammed the door, leaving McKenzie behind with the chocolates, and the chilly fall air.
(xD My other roleplay sample is better, but the website theme required the type of sample to be---quite violent and filled with cuss words, so I chose this one instead.)
Other: Hope you don't mind I still kept her from the Amethyst realm, I adapted her though to fit this scenerio. If you need to me to change it more, that is quite fine with me.
Okay, a few things that need to be changed...there's no England or France in this RP, and also, there is no Amethyst Realm, nor Sapphire Realm, so none of that will work as you wrote it. (The name of the country is Adesia; the Sapphire Court is just the neutral zone where the leaders of the 5 duchies meet to keep the peace.) You might want to pick one of the other duchies for her to have been born in, and then her being sent to her aunt and uncle in Ashton would still work.
