Lady Cecily swept into the hall, quite pleased with the figure she struck. Examining her dress code she thought she looked quite good, patting her brown hair - before she realised she had forgotten to put up her hood. Goodness, no! She quickly turned around, yanking up her hood to cover her hair and twirling back towards the courtiers as if nothing had happened. Indeed, it didn't look like she had caused a stir.

She glanced around and saw no openly hostile, curious or contemptuous faces, but maybe they were glaring daggers at her really, just unnoticed. With a little shrug she walked with an ungainly long stride towards the tables, where she managed to sink with as much gracefulness as she could muster onto a bench.

She glanced around as surreptitiously as she could, watching the courtiers eat and drink. She saw they all kept their hoods up and was reminded again of her mistake - but ah well, it was all in the past now, right? She was quite unsure of what to do in this scenario, for she had never been here before.

Her curious gaze swept by quite a few smiling groups and a couple of people eating alone. Her nature made it sure that she would not go and ask someone - she'd rather sit here, watching how to do it than go up and ask someone else. But if someone came over to her, she thought hopefully, she could pretend she was waiting for them all along and not look so pathetic.
