Dated one week previous, this letter arrived at the court by a Tartan messenger riding a winded horse. Immediately the man demanded to see the Ambassador Michael Ammadon and carrying a small package under his arm, went to deliver his message.

His Royal Majesty, King Octavian, sends you the best of wishes and hopes that you are in good health. Sent with this letter is a gift for the Princess Anna of the Sapphire Realm. His Majesty trusts that you will deliver it with all speed to her, along with the enclosed note. I trust that it goes without saying His Majesty's interest in the princess's response.
His Majesty also hopes that you have delivered his most respectful regards to his fellow king, Marc II of the Sapphire Realm. Though our border has always been shared our relations have not always been of the friendliest sort - this is something you obviously know His Majesty is hoping to remedy.
It is your duty to build the bridge Lord Michael. Let us hope that it is sturdy.
