Title: Insanity and Naivety Collide
Description: [Lord Vincent]

Lady Leana - July 28, 2007 10:11 PM (GMT)
Leana was beginning to feel a bit breathless as the night moved on. She had had the opportunity to dance with a couple of men who were both kind, and now seemed to be positively beaming. She had no idea that masquerades could be such fun! And to think, I never would have experienced one... She smiled brightly as she came to a whirling stop beside the wall, even giving a little giggle as she reached up to her hood to tuck a few copper strands that had escaped it back inside. She wished to keep her identity as quiet as possible.

While many were taking the opportunity presented by concealing their identity beneath masks to wear something daring or risque, Lady Leana Glentrool was still holding mostly onto her modest roots. Her pale pink gown, embroidered splendidly with light purple and golden threads, was tastefully low-cut, just enough to give a hint towards her still developing curves that were shown off a bit by her corset. Her easily identifiable, freckled face was hidden beneath a mask of the same pale pink material of her gown, complete with swirls of purple and golden thread. A small pink jewel of some sort was situated at the very top of the mask, where a little point lay just beyond the hood that she wore to conceal her red locks.

Leana's cheeks were a bright, healthy red, mostly from the exertions demanded from dancing and that of being in charming company, and it showed no signs of fading easily. She was still grinning from ear to ear as she dropped down into a chair, crossing her ankles delicately beneath her flowing skirts. She wasn't quite sure if she'd be danced with again tonight, but she had to admit, it would be quite fun if so. She was beginning to feel a bit more confident and playful, much unlike the shy redhead who crept quietly through the garden each day. While she was sure that this playfulness would fade the instant that her mask was removed, it was a relief to take advantage of it for the night.

Vincent walked around the ballroom, looking for another dance. Vincent spotted a girl that he had seen dancing with a few others, and by the appearance, she was quite a good dancer. Walking over to her, he lowered himself into a bow before taking her hand and raising his mask, keeping his face hidden from her as he kissed her hand, and placing the mask back into its original place, and his identity still a mystery.

'May I have this next dance?' Vincent asked in a cool, relaxed tone.

Lady Leana - July 30, 2007 08:05 PM (GMT)
Just as she had taken the opportunity to catch her breath, it seemed, another man drifted in front of her. From her years of being taught manners by her dutiful mother, she automatically came to her feet and smiled brightly at the man. Leana was about to greet him, but suddenly he took her hand. The words froze on her tongue, even as her mouth still opened, and she looked at him with wide eyes when he bowed. The mask was removed from his face, but as soon as a girlish curiousity lifted in her to find out who it was while she had the time, he lightly kissed her hand. She closed her mouth then, a silly and rather naive grin crossing her lips for a moment before it shrank into a rather shy one. Had she ever had a man do that before? Such an event she could not recall. Before she could further explore her mind and figure out such a thing, however, the mask was back on his face and he had risen from his bow.

His words were greeted with cheeks that flushed a little deeper, now from a blush, and a small nod of her head before she realized that such an act could be considered rude. "Yes, you may, my lord." She dipped into a delicate curtsey, one of the few things she felt that she could, perhaps, actually do right, before she stood back up to her small height of five feet and two inches.

Already this man's identity caused her to be curious. She had yet to meet a man who would greet her with a small kiss on the back of her hand, and therefore determined that she had not met him before. Then again, many people, drawing confidence from their masked states, were acting quite a bit unlike themselves. Yes, she would simply have to bide her time and try to draw clues from this man to see if she kenw him or not, though she had to admit prematurely to herself that she was a ridiculous guesser.

Vincent smiled under his mask before taking her hand and slowly walking his new partner into the middel of the crowd, and taking the bigining stance, before moving his feet slowly to the music.

'your quite a good dancer...some may say too good.' Vincent teased, please that his face was hidden by the secret smile he had.
