Title: The Fight for the Duchy Begins!
Description: Serenity Vs. Elinor
Marchioness Serenity Smith - July 29, 2008 07:35 PM (GMT)
This is our offical planning headquarters for the major plot we have going in Marcheford. I will be writing an offical plotline and will have it posted here soon.
So plot away my lovlies. Choose a side and lets have some fun! :)
Viceroy Mortimer Reed - July 29, 2008 09:14 PM (GMT)
Elinor and I already planned something. It goes like this:
First, Mortimer hears about Elinor, and as she is Alden's relative over his father's side, there is no blood connection with him, so he belives that it would strenghten his position if they got engaged.
Then, as there are rumors that Mortimer wants the throne for himself, the people that are unhappy with seeing the former duke's mistress as regent take his side. There are no conflicts, but the people are obviously divided.
As more of his followers gather, Mortimer, who does not at all care about Elinor stages a fatal accident in which Elinor gets killed. He then plants evidence that shows that it was Serenity who staged the whole thing, which makes some of the people that were Serenity's former followers change sides and support Mortimer. Morty then takes a group of his most loyal followers and goes to Ivyhall manor, and attempts to kill Serenity as an act of vengance for killing his fiancee (I have not yet planned wether he will succed or fail, but of course, I would perfer success).

In what aspects would you like to succeed in, I can't help but to ask. Because the ultimate result would be that he would fail and be in big trouble. :)
Pinning Elinor's death on Serenity is brillant, but Serenity is so passive and not of a mind to be that politically motivated to do such a thing so I don't know how believable it would be. But we can definately do it. :)
It's a wonderfully well thought out plot, though we do need to figure out what to do when it's all said and done.
Keep me informed if you think of something new. I'll be in and out tomorrow because of class and homework (evil evil homework), but PM me if you do have more plot ideas.

Maybe they could pin it on Serenity's advisers and supporters instead of Serenity. Either way, bad news for Serenity.
Basically, Morti over there gets engaged to Ellie with some cock and bull story about how he was already arranging it with Alden before his death. Since Elinor is, uh, stupid, she believes it. He sees this as a way to kind of ride her coat tails, so to speak. People are claiming she's the rightful duchess. Once she becomes duchess, he'll be the duke. Then he can kill off his little wifey.
However, the plan looks a lot better when he can kill her without having to marry her (because he's a jerk. i mean, who wouldn't love to marry ellie?) so he does it and pins it on Serenity's supporters.
As of now, I'm waiting on Morti dear to start a page at the ball so he and Ellie can meet.
Things can go from there.
We need to get a thread with Ellie and Serenity. Since both of them are so passive and not politically motivated, it could be super awkward to watch them interact.
Anyway, we'll just play it out and I'll let you two know when it's time for Ellie to die. :)

I love it Emmie!!! :)
By Serenity's supporters taking the blame instead of Serenity herself, people would still blame her as the ring leader, thus hating her more.
And we should definately do an Elinor and Serenity post...how about the manor? It can be before or after the ball, whichever is good for you.
This plot is going to be amazing!!! :)

I started the thread on the ball where Elinor and Morty will meet. It is called First Meeting. I hope Emmie replies soon

So what is going on with this nice plot? :)
Em told me that Adrian Smith's back, so that might present an obstacle. But from what I see and gather, he is not married to Serenity anymore. He shall be getting married to Victoria Carstairs! :D
So, the show may go on.
