Title: Fishing!
Duke Edmund Duncan - April 14, 2008 12:10 AM (GMT)
So I was gone this past weekend to fish. I caught a 20 inch palomino trout (closed mouth to tail fin), weighs about 5 pounds roughly (on a regular bathroom scale haha). It's the biggest trout I've ever caught, was such a blast! She put up a fight for sure, thought I was going to get soaked. Went to the taxidermist today so it'll be 4-6 months before I get it back but when the wife gets the pics downloaded onto the computer, I'll be posting a couple here! I had an awesome time, camped out some too. Oh and it wasn't a stocked fish from this year, no tag, was probably stocked a few years back is best guess.

Dear Lord Man! I need to come up there! All we have down in Pittsburgh is ungodly huge carp in the Mon.

Fish are friends, not food! -vegetarian animal activist- hehehe B)

Haha none of that veggie stuff for me. I normally eat what I get but this one was my trophy fish so she gets stuffed. Actually, it was really neat to learn how the taxidermist mounts fish. I never knew before. A plaster mold is made from the head and the fish itself gets painted to match its colors after the drying process. He said a palomino would actually dry a light tan.
And if all goes as it currently is, I also found out that the person I spoke of before will go into rehab next week and should be able to come home in about two months. So all in all, I had a great weekend.

Alright, for those who don't object, here are the pics to prove I'm not creating some fisherman tale:

I don't know what to be more amazed by, the size of that fish or your mutton chop goatee thing going on there. xD

Hey now, that doesn't actually look too bad. You should see me with a beard! I think I scare people haha.

xD I didn't mean that in a bad way. It's just that down here in the city, we don't see many 'wolverine-style' sideburns, as my friend dubs them, down thisa way.

lol a couple of weekends ago I went fishing with my dad out in raglan..(new zealand, north island) for the first time in ages and I managed to pull up by myself a huge snapper which weighed about 15kg I think...I shall have to find a photo to show you!
And no I don't lie lol my arm was numb for two days afterwards!

Haha, yeah that'd be awesome! I'd love to see the pic. I heard some of them can get upwards of 100 pounds... that true?
I ate red snapper before and it was pretty good, never fished in the ocean myself though.

[FONT=Arial]I'm honestly not sure if you can phyiscaly pull that up on just a rod lol or if there are fish that size here I do know my dad pulled up one wieghing around 30kg and that was huugggee! He did let it go though!
Snapper tastes awesome! It's one of my favorite fish to eat! My dad has a boat (no were not that rich) and we don't live that far from the ocean at all so I'm really lucky!
Here's the picture of the fishes I pulled up!

Hey that's awesome! And 30 kg... that would be 66 pounds, right? That is huge!
