Yay for intros!!
Well, to keep things short...I'll start from the beginning.
Hi! I'm Dominique Simms and I live in a small town in Northwestern Ohio. I'm 22 (Soon to be 23 in three weeks! :) ) African-American female and I'm a senior at Bowling Green State University Majoring in Secondary Education in Social Studies and a Minor in History. As you might of guessed from me being here...I LOVE HISTORY!!! I'm that nerd girl that will research a time period that interests me becasue I want to know everything about it. Wars, fashion, people...everything.
My favoirte is British History, especially the Monarchy, the Regency, and the Victorian Era. But of course hailing from the good old United States I'm in love with the Civil War as well.
I love to read historical novels most of all, Harry Potter taking a close second. I'm a Jane Austen Fanatic, and will be starting to re-read Pride and Prejudice soon. Surfing the web is my other passion, though I admit I do it far too much. :lol:
As far as faith is conserned, I like to consider myself a CIT, Catholic-in-Training. I'm currently in the process of becoming a full Catholic and will be confirmed on Easter! :)
I think i've said everything relivent. I'm glad I'm here and I can't wait to make some friends! :)

Hi! I'm Lyssa, and welcome to SC! If you haven't noticed yet...we're a bit of a welcoming bunch...and we like our muffins.
(And speaking of muffins, here's a muffin welcoming basket)
And it's always wonderful to have another history buff on the board...although my obssessions in history are a little weird (considers herself to have a bit of a Borgia obsession along with a Eastern Europe history freak)
